We will be spending the week in Raleigh, NC to showcase many times during the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Bluegrass Ramble and at to perform at the Wide Open Bluegrass festival. This is the IBMA’s annual business conference and festival event that brings professional members and bluegrass music friends and fans together for a wonderful gathering – we encourage all bluegrass music lovers to attend!
We are looking forward to performing in such a wonderful venue – the Maddox Theater in the Clark Arts Building is ideal for a bluegrass concert.
The convention center is right at I-75 and US 68 in Wilmington. We are really looking forward to this great festival – Joe Mullins always brings in excellent bands for a good show.
This will be our first time at this fine theater and we thank the Bluegrass Connection of Central Ohio folks for having us.
We are honored to be selected as the international headline band for this relatively new but already wonderful festival. None of us have ever been to Austrailia so this will be a maiden voyage for the Special C and we are very excited about seeing our friends from this great country.
This will be a double bill with our good friends the Davidson Brothers, an excellent, award-winning bluegrass band from Australia. It is thanks to them that we are coming over for the festival and we are proud to be playing this show with them. Check them out here:
www.davidsonbrothersband.com and then come out for this very special evening.
Our good friends Steve and Tom continue the tradition of hosting our annual “Saturday before Thanksgiving” concert at the store – one of our very favorite venues in the whole world! Come early to check out the great inventory of guitars, banjos, mandolins, etc.
This is a great house concert space – a perfect way to truly be “in the room” with the band!
Our annual concert at this intimate venue; we’ll do our “no snow” dance well in advance! Only one night this year.
