This will be a really fun one day festival – we’ll be there with our friends the Bluegrass Martins and a wonderful not-to-be-missed Faris Family reunion. Wow!
We are celebrating the 40 year anniversary of Special C becoming a full-time touring and recording band with several “special” concerts with the current band and some with band alums throughout the year. This concert will be the “mother lode” milestone year celebration, with many alums returning from around the country to perform songs they recorded with the band. We have had anniversary/reunion concerts every five years since the 15th anniversary in 1990, and all anniversary concerts since 1995 have been at the Old Town School of Folk Music, where Greg and many band alums have been teaching for many years. This will truly be a joyful “family gathering” celebration and we look forward to seeing as many of our loyal fans/friends as we can squeeze into the concert hall.
Always a good time at The Down Home and we look forward to seeing our Johnson City and Knoxville friends!
This legendary institution is definitely on our “all-time most favorite places to play” list. We have been playing the Inn for about 30 years! Always a fun evening and usually several “special guests” join us on stage.
This is a very good venue and we appreciate the opportunity to include this date on our fall tour of MN-WI. Hope to see many of our MN friends here!
Saint Mary’s is Greg’s college alma mater so this will be a very “special” concert for him. 2015 is the Centennial anniversary of the founding of the school and and Greg has been chosen as one of the 100 featured alumni (of 42,000) “who are living the Saint Mary’s mission of service and leadership, transforming others’ lives and making a positive difference in their communities and beyond.” 100 alumni were chosen in celebration of the 100 year anniversary.
We look forward to our first time at this great venue and we appreciate the opportunity to bring our Traditional American Music (TAM) Program to a school in the afternoon.
We are really looking forward to performing in this classic renovated movie theater from the 1940s that now houses a beautiful theater and art gallery.
This is one of our very favorite venues to play and it has become a tradition that we schedule an annual concert here the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Steve and the staff are great folks and we always have a wonderful evening at this classy venue.
Our annual concert at this intimate venue; we’ll do our “no snow” dance well in advance! Only one night this year so be sure to get tickets in advance to guarantee seating.
