This will be a fun summer lunch hour outdoor concert with Greg and three Special C alums. Come on out to see who will be playing Special C music in “the shade of the old ~ skyscraper ~ apple tree.”
This will be a fun family event for the community and we are happy to be included in the festivities.
One of our favorite outdoor venues to play – we are glad to be back this season!
This is one of our all-time favorite house concerts – Peter and Marlene are just great and the room is as good as any small club venue along with great sound and great hospitality. It also gives us the opportunity to see and visit with many of our Canadian friends that we don’t get to see very often. “Highly recommended.”
This will be our first time at this great venue.
We thank our friend Bob Thompson for bringing us back to this fine concert series and we look forward to seeing our VA friends.
We sincerely thank the Bluegrass Music Association of Iowa (BMAI) for negotiating to bring bluegrass music to the Iowa State Fair and we are very pleased to be included in the bluegrass program for our performance at Grandfather’s Barn. Visit www.iowabluegrassmusic.com to learn more about BMAI. Other bands that will be appearing at the fair between August 10-August 19, 2017 include The Kody Norris Show, The Bluegrass Blondies, Bob & Kristie Black & Banjoy, Lori King & Junction 63 and The Roe Family Singers.
We are really looking forward to returning to this classic renovated movie theater from the 1940s that now houses a beautiful theater and art gallery. We had a fantastic time when we played here last year and thank Gay for having us back.
Bluegrass Downtown is a free concert at the New Richmond Town Hall to promote bluegrass music and the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival, which will be taking place over the weekend. We always have a fantastic time playing at this festival and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to add this extra “teaser” performance the day before the fest actually begins to hopefully entice more people to visit the festival. Y’all come!
